The new Bracknell Lexicon shopping centre had its grand opening on Thursday 7th September 2017. More than 150 local school children joined local dignitaries for the big countdown. The ribbon cutting was marked by a fanfare of green, gold and silver streamers and leaf shaped confetti, cascading across the new town centre’s walkways and squares.

Afterwards, it was the job of Continental Landscapes’ Bracknell street cleansing team (pictured below) to get the area looking pristine for the first shoppers. They did such a good job we got a message of thanks from Janet Dowlman, Bracknell Forest Council’s Head of Environmental Services.

“I just want to thank you and your teams for pulling out all the stops and making the town look so good today.  We now have a Town Centre to be proud of and I could sense a renewed enthusiasm from all of the Street Cleansing team there which was great to see. They wanted to go and clean up everywhere and we had to tell them to hold off for a while as it was too busy or not our area to clean!….and didn’t they do a great job clearing the confetti….. I felt very proud of them and I know you do too so say a great big thank you from me and my team…..”
