The grass cutting operations undertaken throughout the district vary from routine cut and leave, to cut and collection of grass cuttings, highway verges and wildflower meadows, maintained to ensure that we provide a clean, tidy area that is visually pleasing, to our high standards.

Due to the logistics of the Lake District and the structural make-up of small villages the grass cutting teams are split into several main areas.

In winter we undertake a programme of path edging where we remove grass that has grown over the footpaths. This work is carried out once the grass has stopped growing. During this period we also collect leaves from our parks and housing association properties.

Our equipment is always kept up to date and we have a mobile fitter to ensure our machines are well maintained and safe.
