Grounds Maintenance Operative – Bracknell

Are you passionate about maintaining beautiful landscapes and ensuring high-quality grounds maintenance? Continental Landscapes is looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Bracknell.

In this role, you will be responsible for completing all programmed work to a high standard, undertaking various landscape and grounds maintenance duties. You’ll be accountable for the quality of work at specific sites in the Bracknell Forest area, ensuring that the correct standards are maintained. If any work is not completed, you’ll report it and agree on remedial actions with your Team Leader or Assistant Contract Manager.

Driving company vehicles will be part of your daily routine, including performing daily checks, routine maintenance, and ensuring the vehicles are clean. Any defects found will need to be reported promptly.

You’ll handle machinery and equipment with care, ensuring they are operated safely and correctly. Your tasks will include weeding, digging and planting, litter picking, sweeping, strimming, mowing, operating tools and machinery, line marking, weed spraying, using ride-on mowers, hedge cutting, maintaining fine/sports turf, tractor operation, and traffic management as required.

Safety is paramount, so you’ll need to wear all relevant personal protective equipment to carry out your duties safely and avoid harm to others. You’ll also be expected to wear the company uniform and appropriate identification, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness at all times.

You’ll interact with the general public, residents, and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring all team members comply with Continental Landscapes policies and procedures. Training will be provided as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should be physically capable of completing the work (ie heavy lifting), and possess a flexible, can-do attitude. Being responsible, honest, and reliable is crucial, as is holding a full UK Driving License. You’ll need to be willing to work in all weather conditions.
