About Us

Continental Landscapes is fully committed to the provision of total high quality services.

Continental Landscapes was formed in 1989 and is a member of the Krinkels Group, who operate in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the UK.

Since 1989, we have grown substantially in size and reputation. The company has developed significantly and now has a multi-million pound turnover. Continental Landscapes provides all aspects of grounds maintenance, street cleansing and landscaping services to a wide range of clients including local authorities, housing associations, government organisations, NHS and educational establishments.

We directly employ over 800 people, and operate from 30 depot locations across the UK. Our values of delivering quality services, improving the environment, investing in our employees, collaborative working, and contributing to local communities are strengthened through valued staff and a commitment to supporting their welfare and development, backed up by our achievement of PAS3002 (employee health and wellbeing) and over 50 mental health first aiders across all areas of our business.

Our strength is the ability to develop honest, open, partnerships with clients to deliver value for money services that flex to meet challenges. Reliable delivery is supported by certified management systems to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 45001 (H&S) ISO 50001 (energy management). Our commitment to H&S is evidenced further by achieving our 9th consecutive RoSPA Gold awards for H&S, and 5th consecutive year for Fleet Safety in 2023.

We are on track to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025. Our goal is supported by our ISO 14064-1 accreditation and we are currently working towards ISO 14068-1. This assures clients that our carbon measures are credible and our management system will support their aims and objectives.

We believe in close partnerships with our clients.

With a workforce exceeding 900 employees, including over 100 professional management and supervisory staff, we boast a highly trained ground staff, including greenkeepers, arborists, and gardeners. We maintain 28 nationwide offices and a comprehensive fleet of horticultural equipment and vehicles. Our commitment to quality is evident through our ISO 9001 accreditation, which we continuously update to align with our evolving operational objectives.

What distinguishes us is our flexibility and experience, allowing us to handle individual projects as effectively as long-term city-scale endeavors. Unlike multinational corporations with diverse portfolios, our management team and company specialize in horticulture and street scene services. This deep industry understanding, from the boardroom to our frontline gardeners, enables us to intimately grasp our clients’ needs and their customers’ expectations, setting us apart in the market.

Quality

Delivering Quality Services

Continental Landscapes maintains a comprehensive fleet of the latest vehicles and machinery, which together with our experienced and trained staff deliver the highest quality services.

Employees

Investing In Employee Training, Development And Welfare

Our people are the most important part of our service delivery, and we make sure they are fully prepared and suitably qualified for the roles they have to undertake.
All our staff are fully inducted into the company, with training on processes, safety, and ways of working. Where required for areas like playground inspections, full training and certification is obtained. Where suitable ongoing training and development is possible, potentially taking grounds staff to management or other technical roles in the business.
To further monitor and protect our employee’s welfare, all our trained first aiders around the company are also trained in mental health first aid – looking out for issues with colleagues and helping them find the right help.

Our Values

Collaborative Working

Our core commitments of developing staff from within, creating partnerships with our clients, being respectful to the natural environment and having directly-employed environmental, conservation and biodiversity specialists means we have an embedded culture of respect in every facet of our business.

Communities

Investing In Local Communities

We always look to become good partners in the areas we work in. Where possible we look to focus contract spend in the local areas we serve, bringing additional income to local businesses. We work with authorities and local community groups on projects to improve the area. As an example a current project we are working on is the creation of a “pocket farm” in the London Borough of Brent.
