Purpose of the Role:

As the Service Delivery Manager, you will oversee a broad range of services in the environmental industry. Leading and managing teams of operatives, you will ensure the effective delivery of the Bracknell street cleansing service. Your role will be pivotal in meeting contract specifications and standards, promoting a positive team spirit, and fostering strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

– Implement robust operational processes, emphasizing productivity and quality.

– Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance and provide feedback.

– Allocate resources, machinery, and equipment effectively.

– Develop and implement social value targets, reporting monthly to both the business and client.

– Conduct in-house training to ensure staff competency and adherence to procedures.

Customer Service:

– Deliver exceptional customer service, acting as a role model for your team.

Health & Safety:

– Maintain a safe working environment for all staff, subcontractors, and the public, adhering to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance policies.

Person Specification:

Experience:

– Proven experience managing team and contract performance, with supervisory experience.

– Background in the environmental sector, preferably with local authority clients.

– ILM Level 3 qualification is desirable.

Skills and Abilities:

– Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads efficiently.

– Detailed knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.

– Excellent communication and management skills.

– Proven problem-solving abilities and customer care skills.

Personal Qualities:

– Committed, enthusiastic, and credible.

– A good role model with high ethical standards.

– Reliable, calm, and able to manage conflict effectively.

– Service delivery focused with strong commercial acumen.

– Flexible, responsive, and supportive as a line manager.

– Holds a full UK driving licence.
